Must be local to the Atlanta area.

Requirements:

• BS degree in a science such as Chemistry, Food Science, ChemE or Biology
Must have at least 5 years of Quality experience in a Food or Beverage processing and packaging environment
Must have a strong knowledge of laboratory testing equipment
Possess a strong knowledge of chemistry

Duties:

Manages a group of 3 lab technicians in a food and beverage processing and packaging plant. Hands on supervision of the analyzing and testing of incoming raw materials to finished product. Works with the Quality Director on implementation of all quality systems. Prepares for internal and external audits.

• Communication with customer service and/or customer regarding micro clearance / product release
Help to maintain and/or establish new procedures for customers, third party and regulatory inspectors to ensure compliance.
Work with all areas of facility to establish and maintain GMP; sanitation and record-keeping procedures.
Conduct in house inspections & random inspections
Annual training implementation and review of records support
Working with R&D to establish procedures and specifications for new product entry
Spec and adjust product as necessary to maintain production flow Data input into system
Work with all areas of facility to establish procedures for product flow from batch entry through shipment of finished product.

Location: GA

Salary: $45K to $55K
