| Expanding company is looking for a leader who has a strong Quality Assurance background from the food and beverage industry. Requirements: - BS Degree in Food Science, Biology, Microbiology or related science/engineering field
- Must have experience in Food or Beverage Manufacturing
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years strong quality leadership and management experience with a minimum of 7 years of overall experience
- Strong technical knowledge of quality systems, tools and concepts.
- Strong background with SPC
- Knowledge of relevant Government regulations
- Must have experience with AIB and HACCP
- Prefer experience with BRC or SQF
- Prefer a certification from ASQ i.e. CQA, CQE, CQM or CRE
Duties: The Plant Quality Manager is a high-profile leadership position that reports to the Plant Manager with a strong relationship to the Corporate Quality function. The position leads the development and implementation of food safety and quality management systems necessary to meet regulatory, customer and internal corporate requirements. - Manages all aspects of the site food safety and quality management system.
- Prioritizes issues appropriately, including communication to Corporate Quality Assurance when serious issues occur.
- Serves as 'change agent' to drive improvements in programs, processes and culture
- Establish programs, procedures, techniques and systems to ensure product conformance to Company and government specifications/standards and customer/consumer satisfaction
- Implement robust quality management systems, including appropriate use of statistical process capability/control, food safety/sanitation/GMP/HACCP, structured team problem solving, and best in class laboratory practices and sensory techniques.
- Prepare sampling plans for ingredients, finished products and other materials in order to gather samples, perform analyses, and take appropriate actions based upon the test results
- Apply statistical analysis, trend analysis, process capability, reliability and validity, qualitative assessment, survey results, benchmarking to drive improved results.
- Conduct compliance audits in support of the food safety and quality standards.
